The 15th annual Hotrod & Restoration Trade Show officially commenced today with the Grand Opening Breakfast.
In addition to the Innovation Awards, which were presented to manufacturers in seven different categories, the Golden Builder Award was presented to Bill Borneman, owner of Pottstown, Pa.-based Blast From the Past Street Rods, Inc., for The “69”er II, a replica of a Custom 1934 Ford 50th Anniversary re-creation.
Highlighting the event was the presentation of the Robert E. Petersen Award to Dave McClelland, the legendary “Voice of the NHRA,” who reminisced about his career with breakfast sponsor Barry Meguiar.
McClelland is the is the twelfth recipiant of the Robert E. Petersen Lifetime Achievement Award, which is presented to pioneers in the hot rod and restoration industry.
The show continues through Saturday, March 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
