Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum is inviting the public to a panel discussion celebrating the life and achievements of Mickey Thompson.
The panel discussion, entitled “Mickey Thompson: First American to 400 presented by Banks Power”, will take place on Saturday, May 15 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Museum.
Panelists scheduled to take part in the event include Thompson’s son, Danny; Danny’s mother, Judy Thompson Creach; business partner Alex Xydias; fabricator Tom Jobe of Surfers Top Fuel dragster fame; and Gale Banks of Gale Banks Engineering.
Panelists will retell tales of working side-by-side with the motorsports legend. The discussion will be moderated by the legendary Dave McClelland. After the interview, panelists will take questions from the audience and sign autographs.
The cost to attend the panel discussion is $20. Museum admission and light refreshments are included in the price. Tickets can be purchased at the door and all proceeds benefit the museum, said the Museum’s Executive Director Tony Thacker.
