ACI Mud Flaps Appreciated by Small Business Owner

Dan White, who lives in Milliken, Colo., never thought he could feel so secure pulling his trailer. White recently installed a pair of Agri-Cover Inc.’s RockStar mud flaps on his Ford F-250 and immediately experienced the product’s benefits.

“During the snowy season especially, the last thing you want to do is kick up a rock and put it through somebody else’s window on the road,” said White, who runs a part-time food concession business out of his trailer. “It’s a good feeling knowing that you’re driving down the road, and you’re safe.”

When he noticed that his trailer was getting hit with rocks flying up from the back of the tires, White realized he needed to invest in a pair of mud flaps.

“Installation was very simple; I think it took me 45 minutes,” White said. “I was also excited about how easy they were to remove. I pulled the pin on my receiver heads and the whole thing comes off with it.”

RockStar hitch-mounted mud flaps attach to pickups with an adjustable clamping system. No drilling is required for installation, and convenient frame openings offer quick access to pin and wiring, according to Jamestown, N.D.-based Agri-Cover Inc. (ACI).

“I feel a lot more comfortable about pulling the trailer now knowing it’s being taken care of by the mud flaps,” he said “Keep in mind that the trailer was very expensive, so I baby it. The finish on the aluminum frame also really snazzes up the truck.”

The rust-proof frame is available with a smooth or diamond-plated finish. The mud flaps feature ½-inch thick rubber, which reduces sailing and are rated to resist heat damage of temperatures up to 250 degrees, according to ACI.

“I’ve done a lot of research on mud flaps, and I have to tell you that there are not a lot of them out there that are as thick as these are,” White said. “I like how thick the mud flap itself it is. I don’t think anything is getting through those mud flaps back to the trailer.”

White is confident he’s maximized the value of his trailer by installing the mud flaps on his truck.

“They safeguard my trailer, so I don’t have to get anything replaced anytime soon,” White said.
