Jeep has introduced its 2014 Wrangler Dragon Edition, a new limited-production vehicle that will be available in North American showrooms this fall.
Unveiled at last year’s Beijing International Automotive Exposition, the limited-edition Wrangler’s upscale design is inspired by characteristics of the dragon. It symbolizes strength, power, royalty and good fortune, according to Chrysler Group.
The Jeep Wrangler Dragon Edition is only available in black with a three-piece hard top. The four-door Wrangler features bronze satin gloss trim inside and out; matte black 18-inch, five-spoke alloy wheels; gloss-black appliques on the front and rear bumpers; a dark charcoal dragon decal on the hood and driver’s side of the vehicle; a Mopar fuel-filler door and a black spare tire cover with a dragon decal.
“The new 2014 Jeep Wrangler Dragon Edition boasts a stunning, unique, upscale design with styling cues that make it unlike any Wrangler ever seen before," said Mike Manley, president and CEO of the Jeep Brand.
The vehicle’s interior has heated black Nappa leather seating surfaces with satin bronze dragon scale on the outer bolster surfaces, center console and steering wheel. Other touches include high-gloss black instrument panel bezels and door handles; satin bronze accent trim; bronze floor mats and a dragon graphic overlay in the gauge cluster.
